The name “Dzukou” originates from a word common to both the Angami and Mao languages, which translates to “cold water,” referring to the chilly stream that flows through the valley.
Nestled on the border of Nagaland and Manipur, Dzukou Valley is perched at an altitude of approximately 2,452 meters (8,045 feet) above sea level. Reaching this serene haven requires a trek of 3-4 hours from the nearby villages of Viswema or Zakhama.
